About Us
Founded in 1996 by Greta Sanders '69, Novato High School Alumni (NHSA) grew from a few people to over one thousand. When the work needed to keep the site up to date became too time consuming, Greta passed responsibility for the site to Christian Hassold '91. From December 2005 to September 2006, Christian worked with colleagues at Apollo Internet to redesign the site and create a system that made it easier for alums to post profiles, search for other members, and to communicate with one another. The new site was launched on October 6, 2006.
There are many alumni communication options on the internet and this site it not a novel concept. What makes NHSA different is it has no commercial purpose and is wholly owned and operated by an alum. Classmates.com and other similar sites are useful if you have a lot of time, but they cost money and inundated with advertisements. NHSA is commercial-free and does not share member information with anyone other than fellow alumni.
If you have ideas to share about how to improve this site, they are encouraged and welcomed. Please use the support area to make suggestions. If you would like to help improve the site or make a contribution, email the alumnimaster.
